This summer has been one of the busiest we’ve seen with all involved with  My Fitness Living.  The ladies have been  trying all sorts to get in shape for their break in the sun. So what it the Brazil Butt Lift and does it really work?

The Brazil Butt Lift is one of the most widely used workout programs focusing on the glutes. Thanks to Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez, ladies everywhere are snatching up the Brazil Butt Lift workout so they, too, can obtain the firm booty they have been dreaming of.

The Brazil Butt Lift workout routine is another workout series that is featured in the Beachbody suite. This particular system was developed by well-known celebrity coach, Leandro Carvalho, to boost and define the muscle tissue in your butt and the rest of your lower body.

We found that the techniques used in the different workouts in the Brazil Butt Lift collection encourage you to work muscles in your behind that you never thought existed. The good thing about Leandro’s workout is that most of our participants saw a noticeable slimming down of their butt and lower body area without increased muscle bulk.

We also love the fact that these workouts are accompanied by energetic, upbeat music and have a ‘boot camp’ style approach. Leandro incorporates various kinds of dance into the series, like Zumba, Samba and Capoeira which breaks up any fear of monotony experienced in some other ‘dance videos’ which gives it the fun factor. But the dances are not only fun and random; they are also carefully planned.

We love to work hard and play hard here at My Fitness Living, so inevitably enjoy a night out on the town when we’re not working out – or writing about it. Needless to say, we dance – a lot! But when we bust our moves on the dancefloor, never have we felt our butt muscles hurt as much as they do after the Brazil Butt Lift workout. Ouch! So why is this? Well, the exercises are carefully planned and focus on technique. Leandro has actually designed a winning formula called the TriAngle Training. What this does is strategically work three main muscles in your butt. The medius, maximus and minimus integrated into traditional dance disciplines like ballet as well as modern Afro-Brazilian routines. So it’s really no gimmick (which can always be a worry with so many workouts on the market trying to get noticed). The plan can sometimes come across as a get-fit-quick scam but it is far from that. We don’t think it gives itself enough credit. It’s actually a set of carefully designed techniques that really do work. And it’s not only us that think so. Kelly found that a lot of the participants really enjoyed the Bum Bum session despite it being extremely hard work, lasting for a good 35 minutes. Kelly is one of our top fitness gurus here at My Fitness Living and if she says something is hard work then it really must be! The other thing you have to watch out for is that if you’re new to the world of exercise or these type of exercises, it may take a little time to get the hang of it. However, perseverance really does pay off and the more you do these moves, the easier they become. So please don’t be put off straight away. We found that some of the ladies were experiencing initial frustration, but sooner or later (and to be honest, it didn’t take long) they started to really enjoy it.

  • The workout can be customized to suit your preferences based on personal fitness level.
  • All you require to do the program successfully is ankle weights along with a resistance band. If you decide to, you could do the routine without the ankle weights.
  • There are workout cards that enable you to exercise wherever you are, possibly even without a DVD player.
  • The exercises are short, so if you would like a longer workout you can do multiple sessions each day as the schedule recommends.
  • Most reviews for the routine are optimistic and attest to the claims that the package promises; saying it can tone up your entire body and also firm up your legs & thighs.
  • The workout is tailored to women’s problem areas, and thus it is not well suited to men.
  • It is an excellent cardiovascular exercise but it does not provide much with regards to improving muscle size. Should you be looking to bulk up your thighs and increase muscle mass, this will probably not be the program for you.
